THE PINK HOUSE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS


The Pink House is owned by Tulip Properties Ltd (Company Number 02357072), who are ‘The Owners’. Guests renting the home are referred to as ‘The Guests’


1.DURATION AND CHECK-IN/OUT

1.1. Minimum night stay of 3-nights

1.2. Maximum night stay of 21-nights

1.3. Maximum occupancy of the house is 16 people, plus 2 infants

1.4. Check in from 4pm and check out at 10am


2. PAYMENTS

2.1. A 25% reservation deposit is payable at the time of booking

2.2. Final balance and the damage deposit payment is payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date

2.3. Non-payment at final balance stage may, at The Owners discretion, lead to cancellation and forfeiting of the 25% reservation payment

2.4. A refundable damage deposit of £500 is added to all bookings payable with the final balance. If no damage has occurred during your stay, this will be refunded 7-days after your departure

2.5. Should the owners not accept or reject a booking made online, the deposit will be refunded immediately

2.6. Only guests listed on the initial booking or confirmed in writing the owners after booking will be allowed to stay in the house. We do not allow stag or hen parties, groups of young adults under 21 or any other single sex party style events. If you have made a booking of this type deceitfully it can be cancelled at any time, even if you are in the property, and no refunds will be given


3. METHOD OF PAYMENT

3.1. Payments will be taken securely online by credit or debit card using Stripe. Card details can be entered directly into the booking engine, or a secure weblink will be sent to The Guest. Payment can also be taken over the phone if you make a telephone booking.

3.2. Payments may also be taken by bank transfer if agreed with The Owners


4. OBLIGATIONS

The Guest agrees to the following:

4.1. Not to smoke anywhere inside the property

4.2. To take care of the property, to not damage the furniture, artworks, or contents of the home. To not damage house linens and towels or take them to the beach (as they will need replacing), lose them or take them home

4.3. To not flush anything bar toilet paper down the toilets due to the damage this can cause to the waste system (and can result in a costly call out charge)

4.4. To pay for any losses or damage to the property caused by The Guest or any house guest (reasonable wear and tear excluded). The Owners have the right to reclaim any costs incurred up to the sum of £500 from the damage deposit provided by The Guest

4.5. To report any breakages or wear and tear so we can correct it before the next guest arrival

4.6. To be respectful of neighbours


5. CANCELLATION POLICY

5.1. The 25% deposit at time of booking is non-refundable

5.2. In the event that you need to cancel your stay, then the following charges will apply:

— 0-13 days you will be charged 100% of rental fee

—14-30 days you will be charged 50% of the full rental fee

—31 days or more you will forfeit the deposit only

5.3. Due to COVID we follow UK Government guidelines, and if you cannot travel because of Government policy, we will endeavour to be flexible and fair with amending your booking

5.4. Should you request to change the date of a booking, this may be done at The Owners discretion and with any difference in costs adjusted

5.5. We strongly recommend you take our holiday insurance at the time of making the booking with cancellation cover


6. NON-AVAILABILITY

6.1. If because of reason outside our control (failure of utilities, flooding, damage, fire etc) the house is not available on the dates booked, then all charges will be refunded in full to The Guest or alternate dates can be mutually agreed


7. PETS

7.1. A maximum of two dogs are permitted with approval, with a £60 per animal charge. The charge is due to the extra cleaning required after a pet has stayed

7.2. Owners must be responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Please refrain from letting pets foul in the garden – the surface is AstroTurf rather than real grass, so pets must be taken out of the property for walks to avoid damage to the artificial surface. There is a utility room on the lower floor for dog beds, with a separate side entrance down into the surf wet room for muddy or wet animals.

7.3. Dogs should not jump on the furniture, sleep in the bedrooms or be washed in the baths / showers

7.4. Pets should not be left unattended in the property due to the distress this may cause

7.5. The stairs are made from bleached wood, they can be slippery, and we advise not to let animals run up and down them alone. They should be guided up and down


8. LIABILITY

8.1. The Owners accept no liability for damage or loss to the Guest’s possessions at the property


9. ISSUES OR COMPLAINTS

9.1. Any complaints must be notified to the Owners immediately to enable remedial action to be taken


10. OCCUPANCY

10.1. The Guest has the right to occupy the property for a holiday only (within the meaning of Schedule 1, Paragraph 9 of the Housing Act 1988). The letting does not confer a short hold tenancy or give rise to a relationship of Landlord and Tenant


11. PRIVACY POLICY

11.1. The Pink House respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. We will only use your personal data in the way the law allows us to, in order to perform the service we are offering you

11.2. You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or confirmed a booking with us and, in each case, you have opted in to receiving that marketing
